Assistant Lighting Designer
Holly joined Point of Light in July of 2012 as a design intern and will soon graduate from Rollins College with a B.A. in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in lighting design. Holly has been designing lights in an educational setting for six years and has discovered a love of theatre. Her favorite designs have been for Miss Saigon, The Pillowman, Love’s Labor’s Lost and The Drowsy Chaperone.
Holly’s theatrical background has prepared her for the design process that Point of Light values and her talents and intense interest in lighting design, as well as her perfectionist leanings, have made her a perfect fit with the Point of Light team.
Holly works with the Principal Designer in developing lighting designs, staying abreast of new and emerging lighting technologies, researching and locating appropriate lighting fixtures that meet both the aesthetic and technical project requirements, maintaining our extensive fixture library and working with Jami to ensure documentation and organization are maintained to a high standard. In the field, Holly is an essential member of the Point of Light team by directing focuses, overseeing the as-built documentation and supporting the programming and test & adjust phases of our projects.
Holly is a native Floridian and enjoys traveling, cooking, painting and trips to NYC to enjoy the theatre and cultural opportunities the city has to offer.
